It's been taking up my time. I have also spent the entirety of January ill - first with the norovirus, then the flu, accompanied by horrific toothache. That turned out to be a gum infection, so I was off my face on ibuprofen mixed with codeine. Then I went to the dentist again to be told that I've got gum disease and need to give up smoking before my very loose tooth falls out (might not be saved anyway), along with three other teeth which are also wobbling slightly. So then I gave up smoking, which brought with it all the usual screaming fits and random explosions of rage, culminating in me picking a fight with some pot-smokin' mp3phone-playin' chavs on the bus. Yes, I'm nearly 30, how sad that I did that!
So then it turns into February and I thought "Things will be better now." But no. On the first day of the month something happened at work which I reported to my boss, and which has now turned into a disciplinary investigation. AND I've got a family crisis on my hands as well.
In summary... 2008 really isn't looking too good from where I'm standing.

Helen, you're always up to something interesting! I mean the web site, not the tooth thing. Didn't we have a tooth thread on here in the olden days?! Morrissey has a deleterious effect on one's overall oral health. Or we're old. Old is happening younger nowadays.

Hehehehhee! I've got a big rail of lovely frocks in my spare room, two cardboard boxes full of lovely handbags, fake fur stoles made by a vegan, tops, skirts, T-shirts... oh, it's so lovely! I even have fun choosing the tissue paper to wrap the orders in. 
I've joined a gym now. I found I'd put on quite a bit of weight. Having to wear trainers, however, is a terrible humiliation and far outweighs the crime of liking cakes.
